Instant Pot Bone Broth

Ingrdients:

We make it two ways - either with our leftover bones from a chicken meal, or with the leftover pieces from cut-ups after butchering. Either way we get the pieces, we use the same SIMPLE recipe!

Bone Broth in Instant Pot

1. Fill the pot 3/4 up with chicken bones and pieces.

2. Cover the bones with water.

3. Add a dash of apple cider vinegar to pull nutrients from the bones into the broth.

4. Place cover and press SOUP on the instant pot. Set it to low pressure and the maximum cooking time (4 hours on my pot).

5. When finished, take off the lid, turn off the pot, and let it cool.

6. Place a strainer over a large bowl and strain off the bones.

7. Store in the fridge for up to a week and eat fresh or, we freeze them in glass quart jars (leave some space at the top of your jars for expansion) or in freezer bags.

You can use this same method on the stove top too, just simmer for as many hours as you have time for! Also, you can add vegetable pieces such as celery, carrots, or onion. Bone broth is nourishing and delicious! We use it for soup base, making rice, and flavoring our cooking.
